Star Wars is a world-wide pop culture phenomenon. It was originally released as a film on May 25, 1977 by 20th Century Fox (as Star Wars) and was only later re-titled ‘Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope’. It is set “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….” and is an epic space opera fairytale. It was the first in the originally trilogy, which has subsequently generated three prequel films and is now in the process of being added to further. In 1980, George Lucas, who created the franchise, said that it was (at that point) a nine-part saga that has a beginning, a middle and an end. It progresses over a period of about fifty or sixty years with about twenty years between trilogies, each trilogy taking about six or seven years.

Yoda is a diminutive, but powerful, Jedi Master in the original trilogy. In the three prequel films, he is a Grand Master of the Jedi Order and is a general of Clone Troopers in the Clone Wars. He first appears in The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Frank Oz provided Yoda’s voice and movement (as a puppeteer) for the original trilogy films.
